In order to have a podcast, you have to record it. Audacity will help you do that. This free software download is used by hundreds of thousands of podcasters to record and edit their work. Once you have downloaded the software onto your computer, you basically just open a new file, click the record button, and start talking. You can add music tracks and other sound effects, edit out the parts you don’t like, and export it as an MP3 file.
Sounds simple, right? Well, it is and it isn’t. There’s a little more to it, and having used this tool for over two years myself, I feel like I only have the basics down. From what I’ve seen in the thousands of comments in the Audacity Forum, there’s plenty more to learn.
