An advantage to using Blogger is that it is a Google product so you will not limitations on the amount of content you produce, and it’s highly unlikely that your site will experience outages. In addition, your site will be indexed more quickly by Google’s search engines, making it easier for others to find you through a Google search on your topic.
The biggest disadvantage is that users are limited in the creativity in the appearance. You need to work within a relatively limited range of templates (it is possible to do some customization) and Blogger is making some strides in this area adding new themes.
