If you’ve worked with a spreadsheet any time in the last 20 years, you have probably worked with Microsoft Excel. Because it’s so widely used in so many industries, developing a basic set of skills in this program will not go to waste when it comes time for students (or teachers) to move forward in their careers.
Those who favor Excel over smaller, more lightweight spreadsheet tools praise Excel’s ability to create pivot tables, a way of crunching large batches of data to interpret it more clearly. YouTube has many good, free video tutorials for Excel.
