Canvas has recently launched a few features that can help make creating content easier. I highly recommend that teachers take advantage of Canvas’s icon maker and drag-and-drop features when creating course content within their courses.
Canvas’s icon maker is a great tool that allows you to create custom icons to represent different course elements such as assignments, discussions, and quizzes. In the past icons would need to be created using 3rd party applications, but can now be done within Canvas
Additionally, Canvas’s new drag-and-drop (and copy/paste) feature make it easier to get media (images, docs, audio/video) into the Rich Content Editor. This new feature will allow creating visual content easier and quicker within Canvas.
Overall, these features can help you create more engaging and user-friendly course content for your students, while simplifying the workflow while you are designing.
